Hope you all are having a great weekend so far. Today I am reviewing a lip product from my Ulta haul – the Wet n wild Mega Last Matte lipstick in the shade Don’t Pink blink (shade no: 966). Read onto know my take on this lipstick.
Lips take center stage! This 4-hour, long wearing lip color leaves a semi-matte, crème finish in one stroke.
- Glides on easily with rich, velvety color that doesn’t cake, feather, or bleed.
- Made with hydrating skin-care ingredients: Hyaluronic Microspheres provide extraordinary adhesion to lips, an exclusive polymer complex offers cushion-like feel and texture, and natural marine plant extracts Coenzyme Q10 and Vitamins A & E help smooth lips.

What I think
The Wet n Wild Mega last lipstick comes in an acrylic black casing with a transparent cap. The packaging is nothing fancy however it is sturdy enough. The cap shuts tightly making it travel friendly. The only con I find with the packing is the lipstick bullet. It doesn’t twist down entirely into the tube. So you have to be very careful not to nick it while removing and replacing the cap. I ended up scraping a tiny portion from the top 🙁 The cap has the Wet n Wild name written on it. The tube also has a colour coded sticker at the bottom which mentions the shade name and number.
The lipstick formula is slightly creamy and soft. It glides on smoothly without much tugging. Though it claims to be hydrating, I find the need for some hydration post 2 hours of wear. So it would be better to apply this with a balm underneath.
The lipstick is fragrance free just like Clinique lipsticks.
The shade Don’t Blink Pink is a gorgeous blue toned pink without any neon effect. It’s a beautiful pink shade that is not too bright but will perk up the complexion brilliantly. It applies opaque in two swipes giving a semi matte finish. This shade would mostly suit fair to medium skin tones. It may wash out deeper skin tones.
Staying power of the lipstick is spectacular and is as claimed. It stays intact for well over 4 hours with light snacking in between. There was no feathering or bleeding of the product. It does transfer a teeny weeny bit though. It doesn’t accentuate lip lines. It fades evenly without appearing patchy.
To sum it up, I absolutely love this lipstick for its almost perfect formula and amazing pricing. It delivers what it claims!
- Slightly creamy and soft textured
- Semi-matte finish
- Applies evenly and smoothly
- Does not feather or bleed
- Does not accentuate lip lines
- Fragrance free
- Lasts for more than 4 hours
- Very affordable
- Available in 20 shades
- Lipstick bullet does not twist down completely
- Not hydrating enough
- Prone to slight transfer
Absolutely! This lipstick range offers impressive staying power with comfortable formula and all these are offered at a cost of less than 2 dollars which is simply mind blowing. Its such a pity these don’t retail in india 🙁
