The other day when cleaning my vanity table, I realized that my TBS body lotion is almost getting over and I haven’t yet reviewed it. So today I am going to review The Body Shop Early Harvest Raspberry body lotion from their not so recent launch of the raspberry range. I was planning to get the body butter for winter however Mumbai winter this time around has been a bummer 🙁 Its as if the season itself is undergoing some bipolar issues with extreme humidity in day and chilly weather at night. Anyway bottom line, my skin was satisfied with the body lotion and I did not pick up any body butter this time.

What I think
Body shop products are favorites among a lot of us. Every time they bring out a new range, they get sold like hot cakes. Raspberry range was no different and it garnered a lot of positive reviews.
Packaging
Like all TBS lotions, this one comes in a transparent plastic bottle with a pump dispenser. The pump has a locking mechanism which when rotated locks the nozzle. This makes it quite travel friendly as it prevents any accidental seepage.
Texture
The product is pale pink in color and has a slightly thick consistency without being runny. It is quite light weight and gets absorbed into the skin with adequate massaging.
Worth factor
The product lives upto its claim of moisturizing skin making it softer and smoother. It absolutely hydrates the skin without leaving behind any obvious greasiness. However it does add a hint of dewy shine to the skin which gives it a healthy nourished look.
I usually apply this in the morning after bath and it tends to keep my skin moisturized for as good as the entire day. It has a sweet fruity scent that gives a strong whiff of berries and the smell stays for a long time. I like fruity fresh scents and this has won me over. I love how it keeps my skin hydrated and feeling a lot soft and smooth. I have pretty normal skin on my body so this lotion suffices however for the colder months, the body butter would be a much better option. Also if you have dry skin then definitely pick up the body butter.
Overall I like this lotion for its moisturizing properties. It is just like any the other TBS body lotion but with a different fragrance.

Recommendation
If you are a fan of fresh fruity scents, then definitely give this a try if you haven’t already. There is nothing different about the lotion except the smell, so I won’t repurchase this one. I am more of a chocolate person and absolutely adore the chocomania range 😉 Dry skinned beauties can skip this and pick up the body butter instead.

Have used the lotion in the past. Great scent but unfortunately it didn’t work for my excessive dry skin. Prefer Shea and cocoa butter formulas for my dry skin.

Butter formula is the best for dry skin. I personally prefer cocoa/chocolate kinda fragrances 🙂
I love fruity smells and the pump type packaging is good..

It has the right amount of richness for a non dry skin type in summers!
The lotion looks decent but wont work for my dry skin.. I would stick to TBS body butters 😉
