Many of us have that one lipstick in our stash that we over abuse on a daily basis. For me at the moment, it is the Colorbar Soft touch lipstick in the shade 038 Pink Charm. This shade was recommended to me by a very close friend and I love her for making me buy this :* I have been wearing this a LOT these days. Let’s just say it’s an April Favorite.
Give your lips a soft and smooth look with Soft Touch Lipstick. Its rich creamy formula enhances the lips, while keeping them moisturized and nourished with Vitamin A, E and apricot oil. It has anti-aging properties that protect the lips from chapping and discoloration. With a unique fig fragrance, the Soft Touch Lipstick is available in classy shades.

What I think
This lipstick comes in an ultra sleek reflective silver packaging with the Colorbar label in white along the cap neck. The packaging is quite robust but lacks the colored label at the bottom which makes it a tad bit difficult to locate the shades. The label at the base mentions the shade name and number.
The texture is slightly creamy and soft. It glides on the lips without any tugging. The formula is moisturizing and feels comfy on my lips. However those with dry & flaky lips should use a lip balm before applying this lipstick.
Instead of a fig-like fragrance, I detect a mild talc like note which I quite like.
Pink Charm is a dusty rose shade that just brightens up the face in a subtle way. The bullet appears slightly brownish (and my cam totally amplified the brown tones) but it transfers to a pinkish shade on the lips. It has very good pigmentation giving a semi matte finish in a single swipe. You can see the intensity in the swatches below. It’s difficult to distinguish between the single and double swipes. It is an absolutely beautiful shade that will very well compliment Indian skin tones.
The staying power is about 3 hours with light snacking in between after which it sets down to a stain for another 2 hours or so. I didn’t observe any bleeding of the product during this wear time. It does transfer a bit but nothing over the top that would need instant re-application.
I love this shade and formula very much and as such it’s my go to shade right now. This shade will gel with most Indian skin tones and can easily be a staple for office wear.
- Robust classy packaging
- Creamy formula
- Excellent pigmentation
- Stays put for about 5 hours with staining
- Excellent shade range
- No feathering
- Will suit most Indian skin tones
- Semi-Matte finish
- Single swipe enough to get an opaque look
- Slightly prone to transfer
- No shade reference on package (though not that big a deal, it would have been easier to pick the shades)
- Availability online
This is a lovely muted pink shade that would suit most of the Indian skin tones. Be it casual outing, lunch, dinner or office – this is a versatile shade that would complement all. There is nothing that could go wrong with this shade. Highly recommended
