What I think
Packaging
The Revlon Colorburst Lip butter comes with a trendy two-sided quilt design cap with the bullet secured in a silver casing. The cap is color coded which makes it very easy to pick the right color. It also has a color coded shade sticker with the shade name and number at the bottom. The cap shuts tight with the casing. Overall for a drugstore brand, I absolutely adore the packaging. For me, it scores full marks on the attractive quotient.

Texture & Fragrance
The formula as claimed is very buttery and soft. It is light weight and is not at all sticky. As soon as you swipe it, you feel that instant boost of hydration. Needless to say, it glides on lips like a dream – no tugging at all. Fragrance is almost nil but a whiff of the lipstick bullet gives off a teeny tiny coffee scent. I don’t know, may be its just me
Shade
The shade Lollipop is a fun loving purplish pink with blue undertones. It has fine shimmer that gives an iridescent vibe. The shimmer is infused in the formula in a way that it doesn’t look gritty/chunky on the lips. Since it’s a lip butter, you can’t expect it to provide full coverage. Though not as bright as Candy Apple, with a couple of swipes, it provides medium coverage to the lips with a lovely glossy finish. Lollipop is an absolutely gorgeous shade that would look great on fair to medium skin tones.

Worth factor
Staying power of this lip butter is great though not as amazing as candy apple. It doesn’t stain much – just a light wash of purple once the color wears off. It lasts about 2 – 2.5 hours with intermittent sips & meals. The glossiness disappears in an hour or so. This lip butter nourishes the lips so well – it gives a plumped healthy look to the lips. The first and foremost factor that makes me reach for this product so often these days is the hydration that it provides to the lips. I don’t feel the need for a lip balm. Having said all this, coming to the price point, I do think it’s a bit pricey in India. Here in US, these are usually on offers of buy one get 50% off on second which makes it a steal.
To sum it up, I really love this range from Revlon – be it the formula, efficacy or the packaging.

Recommendation
Highly recommended! This range especially the brighter shades are worth trying. Bagging it on discounts would be the icing on the cake :D. Priced at 650 INR, these are definitely expensive but then I wouldn’t really consider that as a bad point since in India, concept of “drugstore” makeup is ridiculously redundant.
