Hey beautiful people,

Today I have a another edgy shade from the Revlon Colorstay Gel Envy Nail range to flaunt here 😛

The shade is called High Stakes (Shade no: 230) – a dark bottle green shade. Its a shimmer free glossy formula. The Gel Envy range has the base coat and color infused in the formula, so I skipped a base coat. The texture is quite thick and applies opaque in one coat. Out of habit, I went with 2 coats. Being thick it takes a few minutes to dry up. It applies glossy and the shine remains for about 2 days and dulls there after.

It lasted on my nails with no signs of any major chipping for 6 days straight and started wearing off from the tips after. Though this gel formula doesn’t hold a candle to the real gel nail service you get at a salon with UV light drying and everything that retains the color for weeks, this is pretty much impressive. I mean the wear time is absolutely great with household chores involved.

Revlon recommends sealing the color with protective Gel Envy Diamond top coat for strengthening the nails as well as enhancing  color, shine and wear time. I think adding this coat would further extend the wear time by a few days.

Overall, Revlon’s Colorstay Gel Envy range is pretty swell as far as shade range and formula goes. Highly Recommended!
