What I think
Bareminerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream comes in an opaque golden beige squeeze tube packaging. The lid screws in tightly preventing any accidental leakage. From a hygiene perspective, the packaging is great. For $30, aesthetically the tube looks high end and luxurious. The product base is very lightweight and has a fluffy mousse like cream texture that spreads smoothly on the skin. The coverage is very sheer and natural. It settles down into a dewy finish revealing an overall glow-y skin. I’d recommend using fingers to apply this as you can try to manipulate the coverage slightly or use a dense buffing brush. It doesn’t cake up with layering but doesn’t provide more coverage either. Bareminerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream without a primer lasts about 4 hours in an air conditioned environment which is average. Outside in the sun, I’d think it would last shorter. If you wear a primer, it lasts pretty much for the whole day depending on how good your primer is. The Complexion Rescue Tinted Gel is ideal for evening out the skin tone. It basically enhances your existing (good) skin. It is the perfect base for those opting for a “no makeup” makeup look. This won’t cover any blemishes. Layering on the product doesn’t work either in covering blemishes. It is very moisturizing on the skin and is ideal for those with normal or dry skin. Those with oily skin could definitely use this with a Mattifying primer underneath and top off with a little powder to maintain the dewy glow. It contains SPF 30 which is excellent. The shade range is great especially for Indian skin tones. I use the shade Ginger 06 which is recommended for Medium Skin with Golden undertones. It is fragrance free which is a plus. I have been wearing this all year around and my skin has been loving this in the summer when it’s oily/combination and in the winter when it’s dry and parched.
Overall Bareminerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream is a fantastic base makeup product that combines the goodness of a bb and cc and tinted moisturizer. The lightweight beautiful texture sure works for almost all skin types except may be those with acne prone skin that would need more coverage.
