Murad Environmental Shield Starter Kit
Hi Guys,
I picked up the Murad Environmental Shield Starter Kit about a month back and have been using the products diligently. Murad Skincare is quite well known here for their skin problem targeted line of skincare. I believe they have about 4-5 different lines targeting acne prone skin, dryness, aging skin and de pigmentation. There are a few others as well but I can’t remember them off the top of my mind now. Murad Environmental Shield Starter Kit comprises of 4 products >>
Murad Essential C Cleanser
A clear light weight gentle cleanser with sparsely distributed beads which are citrus infused. This cleanser is well formulated to work with all skin types. I prefer using this every morning. It cleanses skin well and makes it squeaky clean. I don’t think its strong enough to remove makeup so I don’t use it in my evening/night skin care routine. A tube has 45ml of the product which still has about 30% of the product after a month’s use. I really like it and might pick up the full sized tube.

Murad Rapid Age Spot and Pigment Lightening Serum
A clear slightly thicker gel that absorbs very quickly into the skin. It doesn’t leave behind any trace of the product on the skin. I absolutely love this product and have already ordered the full sized bottle. This serum is liquid gold if you are someone with dark spots and acne scars on your face. It literally vanishes the new scars/spots within a 4-5 days and adequately lightens old ones. With continuous use, I am pretty sure it will take care of all the others. Totally sold on this gem. I will review this in depth after a few more weeks to get the full use on my skin.

Murad Advanced Active Radiance Serum
It is an off white slightly thick gel cream that absorbs quickly into skin. I like the texture and feel of this serum but don’t love it. I think I might be biased towards the Rapid Age Spot serum. I do feel it does brighten the complexion. But I feel the Rapid Age Spot serum is more potent than this one.

Murad Essential C Day Moisture Broad Spectrum SPF 30 | PA+++
This is lightweight non greasy cream that sinks right into the skin. It is great as a sun screen but I wouldn’t deem it enough to be used as a moisturizer alone. For oily skin, this might just do the trick but those with dry skin would definitely need a dedicated moisturizer to keep the skin hydrated.

Overall I am very happy of the decision to try out the kit before buying the full sized products. Murad is a moderately expensive skin care line so the fact they offer these starter kits is great. Everyone has an option to try out the products at a much affordable price comparatively.
